19.12.2018 I hope that the exam yesterday went well. Here you can find a solution proposal including some additional remarks. Merry Christmas and a happy new year! Markus.
17.12.2018 The results of the project are now available on blackboard.
22.11.2018 The question session on Monday, December 10 will take place from 10:15-12:00 in lecture hall S4.
21.11.2018 There will be question sessions on Friday, November 23 (10:15-12:00, R3), and Monday, December 10 (time and place TBA). Please bring questions!
01.11.2018 Added an FAQ page for the project.
29.10.2018 The project groups can now be found on blackboard.
28.10.2018 The project description is now online.
22.10.2018 The link for the project registration can be found on blackboard.
22.10.2018 Added organisatorial information concerning the project here.
10.10.2018 Exercise classes will from here on be held in Nullrommet instead of S4. This seemed to be the more popular alternative.
28.09.2018 The lecture on Wednesday, October 3, will take place in lecture hall R8 instead of R9. Also, the exercise on that day will be held again in Nullrommet.
25.09.2018 The exercise class on September 26 will take place in Nullrommet (to be found here).
13.09.2018 I have added a link on Blackboard to previous lecture notes on Mathematical Modelling by Harald Krogstad.
31.08.2018 I will have regular office hours on Thursdays from 10-11. Please contact me if there is need for extraordinary meetings.
31.08.2018 Following the results of the doodle poll, the exercise class in Mathematical Modeling will be rescheduled to Wednesday, 13:15-14:00, usually in room S4 (central building 1).
In weeks 39, 40, and 44 (September 26, October 3, October 31) we will use the student datalab "Nullrommet", room 380A in central building 2 instead.
23.08.2018 I was notified during the first lecture that the exercise classes clash with another course (time series). I have now set up a doodle poll in order to find possible alternative time slots for our exercise class. Please fill out the poll as soon as possible.
Note that the first exercise session will take place an Monday, August 27, at 09:15 irrespective of the results of this poll.
15.08.2018 Welcome to the course Mathematical Modelling in fall 2018. The first lecture will take place on August 22 from 10:15-12:00 in room R9 in the natural science building.
