Registration

  • We will have groups of 5 students. Below you may either register a group of 4 persons, or you may register 1 person without a group. After the deadline, persons not in any groups can/will be placed in existing groups to create 5 person groups (or new groups will be formed).
  • Register here. Registration is closed.

Groups

  • The group can exclude anyone not doing their fair share.

Problems

  • The problems can be found here.

Each group delivers

  1. A written note/report 5-10 pages long.
    • Send me the report in PDF-format by email.
    • Name the report: ReportG??.pdf where ?? is replaced by group number.

  2. An 6 minutes presentation in front of class (make 4-5 slides)
    • Email the slides (PDF) to me at least 1 hour before the presentations starts.
    • Name the file: SlidesG??.pdf where ?? is replaced by group number.
  • Do not use names or candidate numbers! Only group numbers and student numbers of its members.

How to work

  • You can present partial answers and results.
  • It is ok to try and fail as long as you do not cover up what you have done.
  • You can discuss across the groups, but reports and presentations must be made independently.
  • You can use any literature you find yourself, but you must give references to the source!!
  • You should not copy from any source without understanding the material first!

Grades and Comments

  • The presentations you gave were very nice and of high quality!
  • Grading is now complete. I have discussed the results with Harald Krogstad and we agree on the outcome. The overall result is very good and we have been impressed by what you have been able to do in so short a time!
  • Comments and grades on the projects.

Evaluation

  • What can be learned from this years project?
    • Proceedures, organization, type and amount of problems, time available, work load, advice/help etc.
  • What can be improved?
  • What was good/fun and could serve as examples for future projects?
  • Feedback:
    • I would like to have a (short if possible) email from each group.
    • Reference group: We try to have a meeting soon.
