Curriculum

The curriculum comprises the content of all lectures, except for the last one from April 24th (algorithms and complexity). See the lecture plan.

Midterm exam

There will be a voluntary (but recommended) midterm test in week 11. This does not count towards the final grade, and is meant to give you an idea of how well you are doing so far in the course. The tests are not to be turned in for grading, but we will put up detailed solutions online afterwards so that you can correct them yourselves. The students are split into three groups, which will take the test at the following times:

Group A: Tu 14.3, 10:15-12:00 in R9,
Group B: We 15.3, 12:15-14:00 in R5,
Group C: Th 16.3, 10:15-12:00 in S2.

Group A is exercise group 3 + ex. group 1 with last names beginning with A-O.
Group B is group 4 + group 2 with last names C-Å.
Group C is group 5 + group 1 P-Å + group 2 A-B.

Please send Håvard an email if you want to switch times. The same test will given all three days, so please do not spoil the test for those who have not taken it yet. (This makes cheating easy, but cheating on a test where no one but you will know your results is, of course, pointless.)

There will be no exercise sessions for groups 3-5 the week of the test, but the sessions for groups 1 and 2 will go on as usual, and will be available for everyone.

The curriculum for the test is everything listed in the lecture plan up to and including 1 March except Boolean algebra.
