[14/4] The lectures have finished. The final reading list is available at the "Reading list" tab, dates for supervision in week 22 and a table of old exams are available from the "Exam" tab.

[23/2] Supervision next week: Monday 28.02 at 18.15 in Vegas, Tuesday 01.03 at 12.15 in F3 and Thursday 03.03 at 8.15 at Håkon Toftakers office (room 1036, 10.etg, Sentralbygg 2).

[16/2] I've updated the "Compulsory project" page, adding the dates for supervision and submission that we agreed on in the lectures on Tuesday.

[8/2] We're now got F3 also on Thursdays - except April 7 which will be in EL3.

[1/2] The MINITAB for Mac saga= we do not have MINITAB for Mac at NTNU. If you want to run MINTAB but work on a mac or under linux you may run remote desktop to the Windows-servers cauchy1.math.ntnu.no or cauchy2.math.ntnu.no, by logging in with your “Win-Ntnu-No” user account.

  • To get access to the Vegas computer lab please email your name and the card number (back of NTNU student card, probably left bottom corner). I'll bring a list for the lectures on Thursday - so if you are not there you need to send me (Mette) an email - see the Main page for address.
  • What to read to understand this first part of the course: Chapters 1-7 is assumed known, and then chapter 8 I've covered. In addition 9.1-9.6+9.8-9.9, 9.13 is scheduled this week, and 10.1-10.8, 10.13. Puh.

  • Thursdays lecture at 8.15 is from now on in EL3. The reason is that I found the MA21 group room difficult to use for the lectures (very small blackboard when using slides at the same time). The new room is a big auditorium (only one available) in the old part of the Electronics building. If you enter the new part of the Electronics building and go right past EL6 and EL5 (on your right side), then EL3 is straight ahead on the right in the old part of the Electronics building. Map: here. Please choose a seat far down- close to the blacboard.

  • Todays lecture is available from the "Lectures" tab. We continue with focus on the normal distriubtion and with normal plot on Thursday.
  • Thursdays lecture at 8.15 is in MA21: map here. Enter the building at the east corner (past the arcade) at the parking lot (same parking lot as NTNU Legesenter). Take the stairs, the room is on the 1st floor (Norwegian 2.etage) through a heavy grey door.
  • Exercises: this week (exercise 1) in Vegas computer lab on Friday, January 14 at 11.15. Next time (exercise 2) on Monday January 24 at 18.15 in Vegas.
  • After request: Mette has office hours after the lecture on Thursdays. But, if you need to talk to me (Mette) just send me an email and we will find a time.
