Exercises

The exercises are not compulsory, and should not be handed in. But it is assumed that you have done the exercises before starting on the projects. Some of the tasks from the exercises (possibly modified) will be given at the exam.

Solutions

Project work

There will be given three projects, of which two and only two can be handed in, each will count for 20% of the final grade. At least one has to be passed to give access to the final exam. The work can be done in groups of up to 3 students, not more. The groups can choose which projects to do depending on their schedule for the spring term.

NB! Please send an email to Tale with the group members in your group. If you don't have a group, send an email, and you will get a group.

If there should happen to be a need for corrections, changes, comments, etc. it will be posted here.

The time table for the projects are:

NB! Hand in the project in ovsys. Only one hand-in from each group. Make sure the name of all group members are named in the report. If your hand-in consists of more than one file (pdf + code), please hand it in as a zip file.

Supervision: (Will be updated with some additional meeting hours)

  • Please contact Tale or Anne directly.

Remarks on project 2 (may be updated as we goes along).

  • Problem 1: How to do numerical verification: Demonstrate convergence of the expected order (why). Integrate in time up to some time \(T\) (not to large). Measure the error at \(t=T\). And then, think carefully over what you want to demonstrate, and how you can do it.
  • Consistency: A hint is given in Blackboard.
