Practical information

Conference venue

The conference takes place on the NTNU, campus Gløshaugen, in the EL2 lecture room. This is in the second floor of the building called "Gamle elektro". It is easiest to use the entrance closest to the rectangular lawn (called "Frimerket" in the linked map).

Accommodation

We have reserved a number of rooms in Scandic Lerkendal and Scandic Bakklandet. If you would like to book one of these rooms, please indicate that when registering.

Otherwise, you are free to make your own accommodation arrangements.

Travel

Getting to the hotel

Airport shuttle bus

The Airport shuttle bus (Værnes-Ekspressen) travels from the airport (Trondheim Lufthavn Værnes) to Bakkegata and Lerkendal. At Bakkegata the hotel is right across the street, while at Lerkendal it is across a side street in the direction of travel of the bus.

Tickets can be bought online or at a ticket machine at the airport. Tickets can also be bought on the bus, but then there is an additional cost.

Other options

It is also possible to travel from the airport to the city centre by train (very affordable) of taxi (very expensive). There is more information here.

Getting to the conference

The hotels are just below one (Lerkendal) respectively two (Bakklandet) km from campus, and walking will take approximately 15 respectively 30 minutes. Please check Google, Apple, or similar maps for precise directions.

From Scandic Bakklandet it is also possible to use bus 22 Vestlia via sentrum-Othilienborg from Bakkegata to Høgskolringen.

Note: Tickets are not sold on the bus and must be bought in advance. Tickets can be bought in the AtB app or through SMS, see the AtB website. Tickets are also sold at ticket machines and certain retailers, but there are none in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. If you have trouble buying tickets, the hotel should be able to help you.

Conference dinner

The conference dinner takes place at E. C. Dahls at 19.00 on Wednesday 4th. Click here for the precise location of the restaurant in Google Maps.
