TMA4275 Life time analysis spring 2021
Frequently asked questions
I have done the projects in TMA4275 in a previous semester. Do I need to re-do the projects this semester?
If you have done the projects in TMA4300 in a previous semester and have been admitted to the exam that semester you will be admitted to the exam also this semester even if you don't do the exercises in the current semester. However, only projects that are done the current semester will count to the final grade. If you did the projects in a previous semester the points will NOT be transferred, so you will only achieve a maximum of 80% if you don't re-do the projects this semester.
Should we include our R code in the solutions to the projects?
Yes, and your code should contain comments to make it easier to read.
How do we present the results we obtained in the exercises?
Typically you visualise your results in various types of plots. Choose plots that are the most informative for you results, and always remember to discuss what the reader can learn from your plots.
Do we need to discuss the results in the project reports?
Yes, discussion of your results is in fact a very very important part of your solution!
What are the permitted aids at the exam?
The plan is that the exam will be a digital home exam, so all aids are allowed. However, note the following general NTNU rules about digital home exams: "The exam is an individual, independent work. Examination aids are permitted. During the exam it is not permitted to communicate with others about the exam questions, or distribute drafts for solutions. Such communication is regarded as cheating. All submitted answers will be subject to plagiarism control. Read more about cheating and plagiarism here."
