About the course

Messages

  • 06 June 2020: I hope everything went fine with the exam! 19 students submitted their exam paper. Here are the exercises and a rough solution.
  • 05 June 2020: Good luck with tomorrow's exam! Be prepared for Inspera!
  • 25 May 2020: A message about the exam has just been sent to all the students registered in Blackboard (the message is also posted on Blackboard). Note that 24 students are registered in Blackboard, while only 21 are on the list I got from the department administration. Thus you should check that you are registered for the exam. Note that this year there is no requirement of approved obligatory exercises in the course. This is due to the corona situation which opened for late registrations in the course.
  • 20 April 2020: There is now an English version of the wiki-page on Digital home exam - for students. Note in particular the point on Home exam with hand drawings. Otherwise, I refer to my messages posted on Blackboard.
  • 07 April 2020: An updated message regarding exam has just been posted on Blackboard.
  • 06 April 2020: Grading of Obligatory 2 is now finished. The grade has been reported in Blackboard where you submitted the report (- please tell me if you cannot find your grade -).
  • 27 March 2020: If you are working on the Obligatory 2, and you think you will need more time, then send me an email.
  • 25 March 2020: An updated message regarding exam has just been posted on Blackboard.
  • 17 March 2020: You may download HERE an information to students from our faculty, taken from "Innsida". We have not yet decided what to do with the exam in the course, whether it is home exam or another kind of exam. Note also from the information: "Due to the situation with the corona virus, some students may also have faced challenges with compulsory work requirements already. In practice, this means that the subject teacher/course coordinator will be able to approve compulsory work requirements, although you haven’t completed your planned compulsory work requirements." This might apply to the Obligatory 2 with deadline 27 March. Please do not hesitate to inform me if you have problems completing this work in time or at all. With best wishes, Bo.
  • 16 March 2020: Hope you are doing fine! Kwaku and I are ready to answer your emails if you have questions to the obligatory exercise. We keep the deadline as it has been announced. Good luck!
  • 13 March 2020: A modified plan for the rest of the semester is found under "Lecture plan and progress". Note that Slides 17 (on heterogeneity in NHPPs) is not relevant for the exam (see "Curriculum"). The exam exercises listed for the last two weeks of lectures are meant to cover the main parts of the curriculum. Thus, if there will be no lectures at the scheduled times, you are recommended to go through these exercises.
  • 10 March 2020: There is no lecture on Monday March 16 (you may work on Obligatory 2 which can be downloaded from Blackboard or from the ``Exercises'' webpage on Friday March 13).
  • 09 March 2020: Grading of Obligatory 1 is now finished. The grade has been reported in Blackboard where you submitted the report (- please tell me if you cannot find them -). Note that Kwaku has printed all the submissions and has written the grade and some comments on each report. You can get these back from me (Bo) at the lecture or in my office.
  • 06 March 2020: Minutes from the reference group meeting March 5 is found under General information.
  • 06 March 2020: Note that Minitab 19 is also available for Mac (this is new to this version). You can download it from the webpage Minitab at NTNU.
  • 04 March 2020: If you have not done this already, it is now time to renew the file 'minitab.lic' in order to run Minitab 19. Go to the webpage for Minitab at NTNU and choose one of the options under 'Download/Install/Run'.
  • 02 March 2020: The reference group will meet with the lecturer on Thursday March 5 at 15:00. If there is something you want them to address at the meeting, you can send them an email (or talk to them at the lecture tomorrow). Their emails are given at the General information page.
  • 20 February 2020: I will not be in my office until Monday, but you may send me an email if you have questions about the Obligatory. You may also contact Kwaku by email to make an appointment with him.
  • 13 February 2020: NOTE: I just got to know that the version of Obligatory I that was posted on the course website was wrong, while the one posted in Blackboard was correct. I have now replaced the version on the website by the correct one.
