  There was a mistake in the solution to the last exercise in point 3b. The solution has now been updated.

  Some of you have discovered that the MINITAB-macro for Nelson-plot does not handle "ties" in failure times, i.e., the case where several units fail at the same time. In fact, the macro is "home made" and is a bit primitive. It is constructed under the assumption that all failure times are different. The trick to overcome this is to create small differences between equal observations, for example use 96.0 and 96.1 in the case where there are two failure observations at 96.0. This will not give exactly the same answer as if you use "di/ni" as in the correct formula, but gives the most correct answer using the existing macro.
