Course will be given in English and to a large extent will be based on material from A. Bowers and N.J. Kalton An Introductory Course in Functional Analysis, see previous years.

Some additional material might be taken from of excellent notes on Functional analysis are by Roman Verschynin. Muscat's text on J. Muscat Functional Analysis Functional Analysis is also a good introduction into the topic. Furthermore, there is volume 1 on Real Analysis of Barry Simon's compendium on Analysis, that in a sense covers almost everything you want to know about functional analysis B. Simon A Comprehensive Course in Analysis, Part 1.
