  • A. Quarteroni, Numerical Models for Differential Problems, Springer 2008
  • In addition, I plan to use FEniCS for demonstrations and some assignments. FEniCS has a C++ and a Python interface. For computer assignments that do not require use of FEniCS, you can use either MATLAB or Python.

Exam

  • Time: 09.12.2011, kl. 15:00-19:00 (Note the time).
  • Examination aids:
    Code B. All written and handwritten examination support materials are permitted. A specified, simple calculator is permitted.

Grading:

  • Final exam counts for 65%
  • One assignment counts for 35%

Curriculum

  • To be decided. The core curriculum is given by chapters 2-8 in the textbook. In addition, topics from chapter 11 and 16 will be considered.
