08.05 Just for clarification: The only permitted aid for the exam is an approved simple calculater. You are not allowed to bring your own copies of the notes of Owren and Curry, they will be available in Inspera.
02.05 Information from the exam office:
You need to use permanent marker or pen when filling out the question codes and exam information. You can not use pencil or red ink. Use only black or blue ink. This applies to both filling out the question codes and the answer itself.
02.05 Supervision before the exam
There will be a plenary question session Tuesday 20.05, 10:15-12:00 in S1. Please send me the questions in advance (the day before).
The teaching assistents will be available Wednesday 21.05, 10:15-12:00 in S1 for last minute questions.
26.04 There will be no formula sheet at the exam, but the notes by Brynjulf Owren and Charles Curry will be made available in Inspera.
01.04 Some practical info at the end of the term
- There will be no lecture on Monday 07.04. On Tuesday 08.04 I will be in the lecture room. We can do some old exam questions, or if you have something you want a recap on, send me an email about it in advance.
- There will be a question session before the exam, time and place will be announced later. If you have questions before that, just contact me.
- The curriculum for the course is everything listed in the Plan of Lectures, and all exercises with solutions.
- The formula sheet for the exam will be available some time in week 17.
- There will be no python coding at the exam.

Projects and exercises

There will be given two projects which together counts for 40% of the final grade. There will be one compulsory exercise. We will use ovsys2 to deliver and grade the assignments. If issues with ovsys arise, please contact Halvard Storbugt.

Deadlines:

  • The compulsory exercise: Friday January 31.
  • Project 1: Friday February 28.
  • Project 2: Friday March 28 April 4.

The projects can be done in groups of up to three students.

Evaluation

Prerequisite: To take the final exam, you must have passed one project and the compulsory exercise.

The final grade is based on two project work (40%) and a 4 hour written exam (60%).
If you retake this course this spring, projects (but not the exercise) have to be done again.

Permitted examination aids: Approved simple calculator (check NTNU rules).
The notes by Owren and Curry will be made available in Inspera.
You are not allowed to bring your own copies of those!
