If you can not attend the lecture, then try to use the lecture log to read Chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 of the book and lecture notes.

I will not answer emails regarding the syllabus.

First meeting (26 Jan):

1. The lecture notes are handy, it is nice to mark where we stopped each time

2. The lecture today is a little bit fast, better to give more details in the proof. Also instead of just speaking it out, better to write it down on the blackboard.

3. The exercise session was too fast, better only pick some exercises to solve but give details

4. Try to give solutions/answers to exercises

5. More concrete examples

6. Good and enough exercises are important, try to find more exercises when the textbook is not enough

7. Two test exams (not related to the grades), in February and April (since the exam this year is very different from the previous years)

Second meeting (9 Mar)

1. The material is hard (need a lot of time to prepare/digest)

2. The chain rule for z, bar(z) is not obvious

3. Lecture/exercise plan will be announced via Blackboard

4. We will discuss the feedback of the first test exam in 17th March.

Third Meeting (7 Jun)

1. The Ahlfors book is not available to some students

2. The exam is fine in general, but it could be a little bit harder

3. Should think about how to teach potential theory part in a better way

4. The use of z bar derivative in complex analysis is nice, but better to explain it repeatly

5. Next time, it might be better to include the conformal mapping part and remove the Borel measure part

6. Mention the use of Green function in the future studies.
