14/12: The final curriculum is by definition the material that was covered in the lectures and the exercises (see the log and the exercises). This is mostly covered by the following chapters in Stinson:
- 1.1-1.2, 2.3, 3.1, 3.7, 4.1-4.5 (not 4.2.1-2, 4.3.2; the presentation of material in 4.5 is very different from the one in the lectures), 5.1-5.7 (not 5.7.3), 6.1-6.2, 6.4-6.6, 7.1-7.4, 7.5.2 and 11.2.
In addition, Chapter 4.5 in the Handbook of Applied Cryptography is useful.
23/11: After the summary on Wednesday, we will look at the 2006 and 2009 exams.
2/9: The second exercise is ready, and will be in the Department of Mathematical Science's student computer lab. Let me know if you do not already have access to the computer lab.
26/8: The exercises will be on Monday 14-15 in R54. The first exercise will be on 30/8.
25/8: We need to reschedule the exercise class, and will decide on a new time in the lecture on 26/8.
10/8: First lecture will be August 25th.
