Exercises
On this page you will find only administrative information regarding the home assignments and tutorial hours. The actual exercise sets and solution proposals will be posted in the progress plan and log table on the Lecture plan page.
Adminstrative information regarding exercises
There will 12-13 exercise sets in total, and at least 6 for Part I: Laplace transforms and Fourier analysis and 6 for Part II: Numerical methods of the course, see Lecture plan. To be granted access to the exam you need
- at least 8 approved exercise sets in total, and
- at least 4 approved exercise sets from Part I and from Part II.
So, for example getting all 6 exercise sets from Part II approved, but only 2 from Part I won't grant you access to the exam. Also, it is strongly recommended that you complete all exercise sets.

Submissions: time and place
Exercises will be posted online on Mondays the week after the corresponding topics were discussed in the lectures. Scripts are due online by 10.00 am on Monday a fortnight from publication – 14 days after they are posted (except for the Easter week). This is a hard deadline! Exceptions will be only made under special circumstances, and in the case foreseeable events have to be requested prior to the deadline.
You must submit your exercise set on ovsys2 and you also can check there how many of your exercise sets have been approved.
It is your responsibility to pay attention to your own progress and contact your student assistant immediately if something seems wrong. If you are not in the exercise tracking system, please contact your student assistant informing him or her about the situation and giving your full name, study program, and username.
Approvals from previous semesters
If you have fulfilled the exercise requirements a previous semester, you do not have to do so again. If you want confirmation that you have a registered approval from previous semesters, you need to contact Studentservice.
