Information for Speakers

We look forward to seeing you at the NTNU Geometry and Topology Seminar!

Our seminars are roughly 50 minutes to an hour long (not including questions), on Mondays at 14:15 CET. Our audience usually consists of a good mix of permanent staff, postdocs, PhD students and sometimes masters students. We typically have a good grounding in topology but with diverse focuses.

For reimbursement, we now need to get you set up on an online platform where you to claim your expenses.

To get to NTNU Gløshaugen from the TRD (Trondheim Værnes) airport, the simplest and most regular method is to book the Værnes Express https://www.vaernesekspressen.no, from Trondheim Lufthavn Værnes to Studentersamfundet (a stop just 10 minutes walk from campus). (Chrome can translate the page to English). Tickets are flexible and are valid both two hours before, and 10 hours after, the booked time-slot.

Alternatively the public buses/train from central station take a little longer but are cheaper and much more scenic options. For example the bus number 70 has regular weekday departures from Studentersamfundet. Google maps is handy: navigate to/from Trondheim lufthavn stasjon. (Google Maps struggles routing to "Trondheim Airport, Værnes", but the station next door works well.) Tickets can be bought either at the train station or get a Zone A ticket from the AtB Mobillett app, https://www.atb.no/billett/#collapse-article_1, if you have mobile data. Tip: sit on the side nearest the fjord! 😊
