Old messages
  • 13.10 I morgen vil forelesningen finne sted i KJL1 (se mail fra Manos 7. oktober). Vel møtt!
  • 04.10: In todays lecture I learnt that some of you have never had an introduction to integration before. I thought I should suggest some of the exercises from the book that could be very useful for whoever wants to practice. After you have finished revision of the notes, you can go through:
    • -Page 326, exercises 1-38
    • -Page 339, exercises 1-10
    • -Page 348, exercises 1-28
    • -Page 355, exercises 1-32, 37-43
    • -Page 390, exercises 1-80
  • 04.10:denne undersiden finner dere praktisk informasjon om midtsemesterprøven.
  • 22.09: I was just informed that there is an overlap with some course and the scheduled midterm exam. The exam will therefore start half an hour later, that is, Monday 5 October at 19:00.
  • 17.09: The midterm exam will take place on Monday 5 October 2020, at 18:30. It is going to be a digital exam in Inspera. The syllabus for the midterm exam includes everything covered up to this week (including Friday 18 Sept.). Tuesday 22 September, 17:00 we will have a Q&A session in Zoom (in the usual link). I am aware that many of you might not be able to attend because it might overlap with other classes, or because you have to work. If you cannot attend for one of these two reasons, please send me your question via email, and you will be able to see the answer later since the Q&A class will be recorded.
Dere finner Zoom-lenker her.
  • 13.08: Dear all students singed up for MA1101,

A new semester is upon us. As the pandemic is still a concern, your first university experience will perhaps be peculiar. Nevertheless, we are determined to creating an intriguing learning environment!

For the first few weeks at least, all lectures and problem sessions will be digital. We ask you to download Zoom in advance. Hopefully we will be able to meet on campus as soon as possible. Meanwhile, all lectures (but no problem sessions) will be recorded.

All information about the course will be posted here. You will, for instance, be able to find the Zoom-link that lets you attend the lectures below. Make sure to visit regularly. You will use Blackboard to upload your solutions to the (compulsory) exercises.

The first lecture will be held Wednesday August 19th at 10:15-12:00. A short introduction to what the course is about will be given and we will try to answer as many questions as possible.

The first exercise sheet will be available shortly. The deadline is August 31st.

See you soon! Sincerely,

Manos Zafeiropoulos (lecturer) and Erlend Due Børve (teaching assistant).
