MA0301 Elementary discrete mathematics, spring 2016

Welcome to the course elementary discrete mathematics. The basic classical mathematical foundation of computer science will be covered in this course. It is therefore important for the students in this field.

  • 19-08-2016: The solution to the continuation exam is now online.
  • 02-06-2016: If you want an explanation of your grade, please send an email to Iris Smit to make an appointment.
  • 01-06-2016: The grading is done, and the results are available. They should pop up in Studweb within a few days. Distribution: A: 16; B: 21; C: 22; D: 27; E: 24; F: 35.
  • 27-05-2016: The exam and its solution are now online.
  • 09-05-2016: Question hours at Friday May 13 and Thursday May 19, both 10:15-12:00 in room EL1. Please send me an email if you plan to come so I know for how many students to plan. Topic suggestions are also welcome.
  • 13-04-2016: IMPORTANT: Deadline for the last exercise is 20 April. If you happen to be missing exercises in order to access the exam try to find a solution with your assistant. The lists will be delivered in the morning 27 April. After that it is very difficult to change them, so contact assistants or Magnus long time before that.
  • 13-04-2016: There will be given exercise sessions in the last week as well, 20-26 April. Use this sessions wisely to discuss previous homework exercises and old exam problems.
  • 18-03-2016: The lectures and exercise sessions take some easter holidays and start again 30.03.
  • 02-03-2016: Magnus is substituting for Iris 07.03 and 09.03.
  • 27-01-2016: Remark: Change in schedule. The excepted Thursday lecture in week 6 is moved to the regular lecture spot on Wednesdays 14:15-16:00.
  • 18-01-2016: Welcome to the first week of exercise sessions. You find your groups here. Schedule for each group can be found here.
  • 11-01-2016: Changes in the timetable: Lectures are on Mondays 10:15-12:00 in R5 and Wednesdays 14:15-16:00 in KJL5, except in week 6 the Wednesday lecture is moved to Thursday 12:15-14:00 in S2. One of the exercise classes got a new location as well, so check the updated schedule.
  • 09-01-2016: IMPORTANT: Possible change in the schedule. The lectures on Thursdays 12:15-14:00 will possibly be moved to Wednesdays 14:15-16:00 in KJL 5. More information will follow when confirmed.
  • 17-12-2015: The first two weeks of lectures will be given by Karin Marie Jacobsen.
