Practical information

Entering CAS

Unfortunately, we are not able to have the Academy unlock its doors. One of the local organizers will let participants through the main entrance in the morning. If you cannot find one of us, or if you arrive later, you will have to ring the doorbell, and a member of the CAS administration will let you in.

Travel

Oslo has two airports:

  • Oslo Airport Gardermoen (OSL) is the main international airport. Two train services, Airport Express and Vy (regional trains), can take you to the city centre in 20-30 minutes. The former is more frequent, expensive and (slightly more) efficient than the latter.
    • To get to Hotel Gabelshus, we recommend taking the train to Nationaltheateret, and then tram line 13 (direction Lilleaker) to Skillebekk.
  • Torp Sandefjord Airport (TRF) is mostly used by low-cost carriers. It is located about 110km south of Oslo. Torpekspressen will take you to the city centre in an hour and a half. We strongly recommend Gardermoen over Torp.

Public transport in Oslo

Ruter is responsible for the administration of public transport in the Oslo area. Tickets can be bought in their app. They are also valid on regional trains (operated by Vy) to/from Gardermoen Airport (OSL). They are not valid on the Airport Express.
