It is recommended that you install [[http://rstudio.org/|Rstudio]] which is an integrated development environment (system where you have you script, your run-window, overview of objects and a plotting window). Dalgaard: Introductory statistics with R, 2nd edition, Springer]] which is also available freely to NTNU students as an ebook [[http://link.springer.com/book/10.1007%2F978-0-387-79054-1|Introductory Statistics with R]]. and several manuals can be found [[http://cran.r-project.org/manuals.html|at CRAN]].
