You may also order a hard copy directly from Springer for 24.95 euro via the link ("buy a print copy") since NTNU has the e-book version instead of buying the book at Tapir og Amazon at a much higher cost.

If you're using the Microsoft Windows operating system you will need to go to [[http://cran.uib.no/bin/windows/base/]].  [[http://www.rstudio.org|RStudio]] is an integerated development environment for R that you may want to consider once you know the basics.
